Connor Milstead was born in Richmond, VA, and grew up in Annapolis, MD, and Bradenton, FL. He began studying classical guitar at the age of eleven with Douglas Seth and Rex Willis. In 2017, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Guitar Performance and Music Theory at Florida State University where he studied with renowned pedagogue Bruce Holzman.
Connor has had the privilege of performing as a soloist with the Treasure Coast Guitar Society, being featured in several events by the Sarasota, Seven Hills, and Florida State guitar societies, as well as performing in master classes led by Pavel Steidl, Judicaël Perroy, Thomas Kirchoff, among many others. He now lives in Baltimore, MD, and is pursuing a Master’s in Guitar Performance with Manuel Barrueco at the Peabody Conservatory.” He is a music instructor at St. Marys College of Maryland.
Jahnel Daliya brings her unique blend of folk, pop and rock fueled by soulful vocals and songwriting aimed at finding the light in this sometimes heavy but beautiful world. Her songwriting journey began late in 2013 which lead Jahnel to a series of solo acoustic performances. In 2015 she began performing with her band of local talent hitting some popular music festivals, fairs, conferences and music clubs throughout DC and Virginia . In June 2017 Jahnel released her debut EP "Chase The Moon", four tracks which play like an introduction to her journey discovering herself as an artist. In 2019 Jahnel released her first full length record "Into The Night". It's an electrified indie rock record of eleven well crafted songs that explore the balance between embracing the carefree spirit of living in the moment and being grounded by love and commitment and living through the highs and lows that we all face in one way or another.
Raised in the projects of Brooklyn, New York Jahnel grew up to the sounds of a busy city and 1980’s soul, pop, and R&B music. She found a love of singing along to Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul on the radio but it wasn’t until she and her mother moved to Virginia that she was able to develop her skill and technique singing in a few Washington DC choirs, Children of the Gospel and Urban Nation. Her powerful vocals can bend from edgy and soulful to richly intimate. With no formal musical training she crafts her song from a very free and innocent place. She credits her prolific songwriting to being an only child and spending her alone time making up stories and songrecords to entertain herself when she wasn’t exploring the world outside of her window.
Paul Dickson and Crystal Moses
Paul Dickson started playing in high school. He loved air jamming to southern rock so he decided to learn how to play. He has been playing 40 years since, however he put seriously effort in for the first 6 years and the last 5 years. There was no one in the family to influence his music so he found himself being inspired by a wide range of musicians such as Dave Lubeck (Molly Hatchet), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), and Jimmy Buffet. Not to surprising then that his first performance was in 1983 at a South Eastern Bikers Association Birthday Party and his style of guitar is a mix of heavy metal and acoustic pop.
He did a recording in with his band Hook Line and Sinkers playing Rhythm guitarist on “Playing in Reel Time” CD. At the Guitar Fest he will be playing on a Martin GPPCPA 1 Plus singing and strumming out some Jimmy Buffet, Darius Rucker, John Prine, and Creedence Clear Water Revival.
When asked what his future plan are he say “I want to be a street vendor and just hang out playing and let people enjoy (just playing for beer money)”
